Stephen Raburn
Stephen Raburn… is a social entrepreneur, father, community galvanizer, activist, lobbyist, writer, lecturer, and champion of children’s causes who has spent the past two decades in the nonprofit sector, primarily in a leadership role. His training and background is in the field of child psychology.
Stephen is recognized as an impassioned child advocate. He has founded and directed a number of child-serving and community based organizations, including the Center for Child Advocacy and Research, based in Napa, CA.
He is currently the CEO/President of Stephen Raburn + Associates, a multi-faceted training/consulting company located in Durham, North Carolina.
Stephen's articles have appeared in a number of magazines, newspapers and professional journals across the US. His commentary on a variety of social issues can be found on his popular blog.
Stephen’s children’s book, “Isobel and Her Dad Take a Trip to the Moon,” was published in 2008 and can be ordered on Amazon. A second children’s book, “Little Fish Gets Three Wishes” is scheduled to be released soon. He is also the author of "WonderDads," a resource guide for dads and kids in the Triangle area of North Carolina.
